I love a good book club, however, you can't eat a book.
My oldest friend had the most brilliant idea for a Bake Club. She sent me the new book Dessert Person by Claire Saffitz that is not only beautiful to look at but has some amazing recipes. For our first bake club we each cracked open our copies and made the St Louis Gooey Butter Cake. This is a delicious 'cake' with a yeasted base and cake like topping that bake together to create the yummy layers and so much butter that originated *surprise* in St Louis. It is just so good.
Seriously, YUM
